Agricultural production in Kazakhstan grew 1.6% in Jan-MarchKazakhstan produced 841.727 billion tenge worth of agricultural products in January-March 2024 or an increase of 1.6% year over year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the 1st quarter of this year, livestock production came to 792.306 billion tenge in value or up 1.7% year over year, and crop production amounted to 38.270 billion tenge or no change from the same period of the previous year.In January-March 2043, the number of cattle decreased by 1.5% to 9.113 million head, sheep by 2% to 21.450 million head, goats by 12.8% to 2.263 million head and pigs by 10.4% to 553, 300 head, while the number of horses grew by 1.7% to 4.291 million head and poultry by 3.7% to 46.886 million chickens.
