KAZAKHSTAN-CPC-EQUIPMENT

Kazakhstan strives to ensure uninterrupted equipment supply to CPC - MinistryKazakhstan's Ministry of Energy is intensifying efforts to ensure uninterrupted equipment supplies to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), according to its press service."The Ministry, in collaboration with JSC NC KazMunayGas, international oil companies, and CPC, is actively working to guarantee uninterrupted equipment supplies to CPC,” the Energy Ministry told reporters today.Kazakhstan is consulting with EU, USA (OFAC), and UK authorities to create exemptions for providing goods and services to CPC, ensuring its stable operation.Maintaining current routes, particularly the reliability of the CPC pipeline, remains a top priority for Kazakhstan to ensure uninterrupted oil exports. However, the safe and efficient operation of CPC relies on Western equipment and services.Kazakhstan exports approximately 80% of its extracted raw materials, primarily to markets in the European Union (Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain), Turkey, the USA, and various Asian countries (including South Korea, Japan, and China).A significant portion of Kazakh oil export volumes transit through Russia, utilizing pipelines such as CPC, Atyrau-Samara, and Makhachkala-Novorossiysk. These routes offer the highest profitability for Kazakh oil producers.According to the Ministry of Energy, by the end of 2023, the volume of Kazakh oil transported in transit through Russian territory reached 65.8 million tonnes, accounting for 93% of total Kazakh oil exports.
