CONSUMERS EMBRACE CASHLESS PAYMENTS

A survey conducted for the Cashless Poland Foundation shows that in 2023, cashless payments accounted for two thirds of all transactions made in footwear and clothing shops, supermarkets and bookstores. The survey also shows that in 2023, cashless payments represented more than 65 percent of all transactions in retail stores and service outlets in Poland, and that last year the share of cash transactions fell by 3 percentage points, to 35 percent. Finally, the survey indicates that the number of consumers choosing mobile payments and mobile banking applications rose considerably in 2023. (ICE VARSAVIA)
