AL ULA SEEKS EQUESTRIAN VILLAGE INTEREST

Saudi Arabia's Royal Commission for Al Ula (RCU) has issued an expression of interest (EoI) notice to contractors for the construction of endurance facilities at the Al Muatadil Equestrian Village in Al Ula. The scope of work covers the design and build of the project's first package, including endurance facilities, arrivals facilities, village facilities, stables facilities, back-of-house facilities and associated infrastructure. The notice was issued on 2 April, and the last date for expressing an interest in bidding for the contract was 8 April. RCU expects the facilities to be ready by October 2026, when it is scheduled to host the FEI Endurance World Championship. US-based engineering firm Aecom designed the 285-hectare Al Muatadil Equestrian Village. RCU announced the project plans in March last year, including developing an equestrian hub with two arenas that can accommodate 5,000 and 1,400 spectators. The venue also includes facilities for grass polo, sand polo and endurance venues, with capacities of 600, 400, and 600 seats. These facilities will be complemented by visitor amenities, two stable compounds housing 740 horses, and accommodation and retail outlets for event participants and workers.   For registration as supplier: https://s1.mn2.ariba.com/Sourcing/Main/aw?awh=r&awssk=gbn2SP5pBLlIx0At&realm=RCU&dard=1 (ICE RIYADH)
