KAZAKHSTAN-PLANT-FEEDSTOCK

Russia’s Tatneft to monthly supply 15,000 tonnes of feedstock to Kazakhstan’s refinery Tatneft PJSC will monthly supply 15,000 tonnes of low-octane naphtha to Kazakhstan’s refinery in Uralsk, which is running below its capacity due to a lack of feedstock, the Kazakh Ministry of Energy told Interfax-Kazakhstan.“Together with the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation we have agreed on the following solution to the problems of Condensate JSC [the refinery] in Uralsk, the West Kazakhstan region: Russia’s Tatneft PJSC will monthly supply to the refinery about 15,000 tonnes of feedstock, which is virgin low-octane naphtha,” the ministry said.Using this feedstock, the refinery will produce technical gas, RON-92 and RON-95 gasoline, which will be sold within the republic and also exported once the domestic demand is fully satisfied. The refinery of Condensate JSC was built at the Karachaganak field to produce diesel fuel and gasoline for the West Kazakhstan region. In 2017, the capacity of the refinery was increased from 650,000 to 850,000 tonnes per year. According to local mass media reports, the refinery constantly faces problems with feedstock supply.
