MESSICO: MICRON TECHNOLOGY ANNUNCIA APERTURA DI NUOVO IMPIANTSemiconductor manufacturer Micron Technology announced plans to establish a new engineering and operations center in Guadalajara, Jalisco, as part of its global expansion strategy.The center will be dedicated to product development for Micron's memory solutions and information technology operations. More than 100 staff members are expected to be hired by the end of the year.The expansion into Mexico is part of the U.S. company's strategy to expand its access to the global engineering talent required to develop the next-generation products needed to meet the demands driven by artificial intelligence (AI).However, Micron pointed out that plans for its engineering and operations center in Mexico are dependent on government support."Given Mexico's proximity to our U.S. operations and similar time zones, our new engineering and operations center will create strong opportunities for closer collaboration with teams across North America," said April Arnzen, Micron's executive vice president and chief people officer.
