Autotorino, one of the largest car dealers in Italy, is taking over Mercedes-Benz Warszawa from Mercedes-Benz Polska, and the transaction is Autotorino’s first deal outside its home market. The transaction covers the entire operations of the Warsaw unit, including sales of new and used passenger cars and vans, as well as assistance services, vehicle financing and insurance. The Italian company underlines the attractiveness of the Polish market, where 475,000 new cars were registered last year, which makes Poland the sixth largest market in the European Union. The deal is subject to approval by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and if the watchdog gives the green light, it will be finalized in H2, 2024. (ICE VARSAVIA)
