ADB: STRENGTHENING MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY SUPPORTS INDONESIA DEVELOPED COUNTRY
Indonesia's Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Indonesia, Jiro Tominaga, has emphasized the importance of strengthening the manufacturing industry to achieve 6-7 percent annual economic growth by 2045. He emphasized the need for continued economic reform, green economy development, and infrastructure development to foster sustainable and long-term economic growth. The manufacturing industry played a significant role in Indonesia's economic performance in 2022, growing at 5.01 percent, higher than the 3.67 percent achieved in 2021. The government is preparing strategic policies to accelerate national economic growth, with a focus on developing the manufacturing industrial sector to make it more productive and innovative. The government is focusing on three commodity downstream industries: agro-based, mineral mining, and oil and gas and coal-based. Investment in the manufacturing sector is expected to reach IDR 497.7 trillion in 2022, boosting labor absorption.Link di fonte: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/4090089/adb-penguatan-industri-manufaktur-dukung-indonesia-menuju-negara-maju (ICE GIACARTA)
