The Lebanese Caretaker Minister of Finance, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Financial andEconomic Affairs, has recently launched an internal workshop in the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to discusssteps to activate cooperation and exchange of information regarding compliance in the areas of taxes andcustoms. At this level, efforts constitute a step in a series of measures that the government aims to take inorder to restore the role of its authorities and enhance confidence in the tax and customs system as well asits effectiveness on the ground.  According to the Lebanese Caretaker Minister of Finance, the discussion and its purpose are considered a  fundamental essence of the future plans that are to be included in the 2025 budget. Additionally, effortswill be focused on improving the state’s resources and enhancing public services to confront financial andeconomic challenges. (ICE BEIRUT)
