KAZAKHSTAN-FITCH-RATING

Fitch affirms Kazakhstan's 'BBB' sovereign rating with stable outlookFitch, the international rating agency, has affirmed Kazakhstan's sovereign credit rating at "BBB" with a stable outlook, as reported by the Ministry of National Economy on Saturday."The decision reflects several positive factors supporting Kazakhstan's rating, including significant external buffers, stable fiscal position, low public debt levels, and moderate exposure to external risks," according to the message.According to the Ministry's statement, Fitch analysts anticipate further strengthening of foreign exchange reserves and a reduction in the current account deficit, driven by moderate growth in imports and increased oil production and exports.Fitch also acknowledges the implementation of new fiscal rules aimed at limiting the growth of budget expenditures and guaranteed transfers from the National Fund of Kazakhstan, which are expected to bolster fiscal policy.Additionally, Fitch highlights the relatively low risks associated with secondary sanctions and their potential impact on the republic's economy.
