QIC supports launch of pre-cooked chicken line in Akmola regionA new plant for the production of pre-cooked and ready-to-eat chicken fillet products, IL-TOV LLP, has been launched in the city of Kosshy, Akmola region, with support from Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC).This venture received support from Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC), a subsidiary of Baiterek National Management Holding JSC."The product line comprises cutlets, schnitzels, meatballs, strips, and nuggets, all fully cooked and shock frozen, using chicken from Makinsk Poultry Farm LLP, previously financed by QIC," the company said.Until now, Kazakhstan mostly imported products similar to those produced by IL-TOV from neighboring countries.This initiative aims to reduce reliance on imported products, creating 90 new jobs for Kosshy residents initially, with plans to expand production capacity to 10-12,000 tonnes annually, achieving significant import substitution.Established in 2007, Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC, a subsidiary of Baiterek National Holding JSC, focuses on developing private equity infrastructure in Kazakhstan to promote sustainable economic growth.
