Representing the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Mr. M. Herindra, attended the invitation of the Italian Embassy at the Festa della Repubblica (Italian Republic Day) and celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Italy and Indonesia on Friday (7/6/2024), at the Ayana Midplaza Grand Ballroom, Jakarta. Indonesia and Italy have a friendship based on cooperation and mutual respect for shared values; namely democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. According to the Deputy Minister of Defense, the partnership between Indonesia and Italy has been very good so far and has developed in various sectors, including trade, investment, education, culture, and especially defense. Collaboration between the two countries in the field of defense and security has significantly developed, including defense dialogue, capacity building, and technology transfer. Indonesia remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthen and deepen its partnership with Italy in the field of defense and security. We can explore new opportunities to collaborate, exchange expertise, and address emerging security challenges in the region. At the end of his speech, Deputy Minister of Defense M.
