Kazakh President proposes strategic port and logistics networks within SCOPresident Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has proposed creating strategic port and logistics center networks within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), according to the presidential press service.Speaking at the SCO summit in Astana, President Tokayev highlighted the importance of enhancing transportation connectivity by establishing efficient corridors and reliable supply chains as critical tasks for the Organization."We place great importance on strengthening synergy with China's Belt and Road Initiative, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and trans-Eurasian corridors such as the North-South direction, including the Central Asia-South Asia axis. Implementing these initiatives requires taking practical steps towards establishing a Partner Network of strategic ports and logistics centers within the SCO," Tokayev stated, as quoted by the press service.
