According to Jordan’s energy and mineral resources minister Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, the Jordan-Saudi Arabia electricity interconnection project is in the final stages with technical studies completed. At the moment, the parties are negotiating on the exact amount of power and timing of supply. An agreement was signed between the two nations in 2020 to develop the 164 km interconnection between Qurayyat in Saudi Arabia and East Amman. (ICE AMMAN)
