EMIRATES STEEL SIGNS TROJENA SKI VILLAGE SUPPLY DEAL
UAE-based steel producer Emirates Steel has announced that it has signed a steel supply agreement for the Trojena Ski Village project in Saudi Arabia. In an official statement, the producer said that it signed the deal with the Malaysian contractor Eversendai Corporation. Emirates Steel will supply beams made of low-carbon steel for the project Riyadh-based contractor Albawani and Eversendai Corporation are executing the steel fabrication works for Trojena Ski Village assets at the Neom gigaproject. Neom awarded the contract for the project in September last year. Designed by the Hong Kong-based architecture firm Aedas, Trojena Ski Village will be the Middle East’s first outdoor ski resort. The project is scheduled to open in 2026 and will host the Asian Winter Games in 2029. The Ski Village is a superstructure comprising five zones, from the ground floor to the roof, designed to mimic a ski slope and align with the mountain.
