The real GDP per capita taking into account the purchasing power parity (PPP) reached 80 percent of the EU's average in 2022, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Wednesday 31/07/2024.The figure went up by 7 percentage points from 2019, GUS said.In 2022, Poland was in a group of seven countries, alongside Portugal, Hungary, Croatia, Latvia and Slovakia, in which the real GDP per capita fell in the range of 70-80 percent of the EU average.GDP per capita as expressed in the purchasing power standard (PPS) reached 28,200 in Poland in 2022, while the EU average amounted to 35,400 PPS.  (ICE VARSAVIA)
