The total investment in Labuan Bajo (Nusa Tenggara Timur/NTT province) in the first quarter of 2024 reached nearly IDR 570 billion (US$36,9 million), and it is expected to increase with the development of supporting access in the area. Indonesia’sTourism and Creative Economy Minister, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, made the remarks in a statement released on 20 August 2024. Since 2020, Labuan Bajo, as a super-priority tourism destination, has recorded significant investment inflows, especially for infrastructure and tourism development, which puts Labuan Bajo in fourth position with the highest investment realization value out of 10 priority tourism destinations.In the near future, based on the minister’s statement, Air Asia airline will operate additional international flights on the Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) - Labuan Bajo route.
