CZECH AGRICULTURAL GIANT INVESTS IN POLAND

Agrofert Polska has signed an agreement with the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) that concerns the Agency's support for the construction by Agrofert Polska of a modern grain collection and storage point in Maciejowice near Otmuchów.The investment includes the construction of six silos, each with a capacity of 2 thousand tons and a warehouse with a capacity of 12-14 thousand tons. The facility will also be equipped with a modern grain dryer and cleaning plant. The cost of the entire investment, which will be completed by autumn next year, is PLN 23 million, of which PLN 3 million is support from ARiMR.Agrofert Polska is part of the Agrofert a.s. group, which includes companies in the agricultural, food, milling, chemical, forestry, engineering and transport sectors, and renewable energy. The group has 3 production plants in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany, producing fertilizers. In addition, the group operates a rapeseed crushing plant, which processes 400 to 500 thousand tons of rapeseed per year, and several mills. The Agrofert Group owns approximately 100 thousand hectares of land in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. (ICE VARSAVIA)
