RED SEA GLOBAL PROVIDES AMAALA PROJECT UPDATES

Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Global (RSG) has revealed the construction progress on its assets in the Amaala coastal development on the coast of the Red Sea. In an official statement, RSG said that it has contracts worth over SR23bn ($6.1bn) to date with several local and international contractors for the development of infrastructure and structural assets at Amaala. The companies that have secured these contracts include local firms such as Rawabi Holding and Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting and international firms including Hassan Allam, Shapoorji Pallonji, Depa Group, Alec and Havelock One. The latest updates on several ongoing schemes at Amaala are as follows: Triple Bay Marina Village: The Equinox Resort is now topped out and concrete structure work on the Village Boutique Hotel main building, condos and villas is nearing completion. The Marina: Flooding of the marina basin was completed at the end of 2023 and contracts for the floating pontoons and fixed decks have been awarded. Amaala Yacht Club: All construction contracts have been awarded and concrete works are close to completion, with structural steel and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works now started. Corallium: Steel and facade works at RSG’s marine life institute are well advanced and the reef-inspired building is now taking shape. Wellness Core: Superstructures are present on 80% of the 220 buildings within this zone, including wellness resorts such as Jayasom and Clinique La Prairie. Triple Bay Central: The construction works on the Rosewood and Six Senses hotels are more than two-thirds completed. At the Four Seasons property, the landscaping, MEP and facade works are underway. Ocean Golf Course: Phase one of the 18-hole development is proceeding with all major works complete for three holes, and the remaining 15 holes underway. Primary Infrastructure: Works are heading towards completion, including 35 kilometres of internal roads, power, water, irrigation and communications infrastructure. Public Realm and Landscaping: RSG expects 3 million plants and trees to be planted before the end of the year. The announcement follows RSG's confirmation of project timelines in May.     The first phase of the Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia is due for completion in 2025, while the first phase of Amaala will be completed by 2027. The whole scheme is expected to be completed by 2030. Amaala will deliver 1,945 hotel keys and 430 residential units by 2026. One island and two coastal locations will be further developed by 2030. Amaala progress Amaala is a coastal development that covers an area of about 2,500 square kilometres. Amaala previously planned the project. In October 2022, Amaala merged with The Red Sea Development Company to form RSG, which is now implementing the project. The scheme's first phase, which focuses on the Triple Bay masterplan, will be completed in 2027. The total development will include 27 hotels with a combined 37,000 keys. RSG has adopted a construction management approach to deliver its projects. Schemes are divided into individual trade works packages procured by the developer rather than being awarded to a series of main contractors. There are typically about 20 works packages for each project.   For registration as a supplier: https://www.redseaglobal.com/en/vendor-registration   (ICE RIYADH)
