EXPORT OF POLISH FRUITS. THESE SPECIES ARE PARTICULARLY POPULAR ABROAD.

The popularity of Polish fruit abroad is growing. Last year Poland was their seventh largest supplier in Europe.Apples are the most popular and constitute as much as 25 percent of all fruit exports from Poland. In Europe, Poland ranks second in terms of their export, and seventh in the world. In 2023, the value of apple exports reached EUR 398.8 million, 32 percent more than a year earlier. The main sales markets are Romania, Egypt, Germany, Kazakhstan and Spain.Exports of currants and gooseberries last year amounted to EUR 5 million. Poland is their third largest exporter in the world. The main destination is Germany.In the case of raspberries and blackberries, Poland ranks fifth in Europe and eighth in the world. The value of their sales abroad amounted to EUR 41.3 million. These fruits are mainly bought by Germans, Dutch and Czechs.
