WIZZ AIR BUDGET AIRLINE EYES EXPANSION OF SERVICE FROM WARSAW
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air expects an "unprecedented" growth in the number of travellers it will carry from Warsaw's Chopin Airport this year.Before Covid-19, Wizz Air carried 3 million passengers per year from Warsaw. This year, the company forecasts that it will carry 4.8 million passengers in Warsaw alone.It is a 60-percent increase in capacity compared to pre-Covid-19, which is unprecedented in the Wizz Air networkCurrently, Wizz Air flies 300 planes from ten Polish airports, including Warsaw, the southern cities of Katowice and Krakow, southwestern Wroclaw and northern Gdansk.
