SMALL SHOPS DISAPPEAR AS THEY CANNOT AFFORD DEALS
A survey conducted by UCE Research and Grupa Blix shows that as many as 29.7 percent of Polish consumers declare that they make 20-40 percent of food purchases as part of deals and special offers, with 20 percent of the respondents saying that they rely on deals for up to 60 percent of food shopping. As noted by the companies’ experts, this puts small shops in an increasingly difficult position as they cannot afford to organise as many deals as larger chains, in particular discount stores.
