NEOM PREPARES FOR SINDALAH ISLAND OPENING
Saudi Arabia's Neom plans to open its Sindalah Island destination "by the end of October". "The final preparations for the grand opening are under way across Sindalah Island. The development will be ready to host visitors by the end of this month," sources added. With an area of about 840,000 square metres, Sindalah is situated 5 kilometres from the mainland in the Red Sea. The island is designed as an ultra-luxury destination and is the first group of islands to be developed at Neom. It will feature three hotels developed under two brands, Marriott and Four Seasons, with 413 keys, 88 villas and 333 serviced apartments. Sindalah will also feature an 86-berth marina for yachts up to 50 metres and 75 offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 metres. Sindalah Island is Neom's most advanced region in terms of overall construction. Neom is also expected to award a contract by the end of this year to build the Luxury South Resort assets in cluster five of its Sindalah Island resort. The contract scope involves constructing a Four Seasons-branded resort with 225 guest rooms and suites, 52 one- to four-bedroom villas and associated infrastructure works.
