EAEU agricultural producers raise prices for products 5.8% in Sept - EECAgricultural producers in the Eurasian Economic Union raised prices for their products 5.8% year-on-year in September, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said.Prices rose 1.4% month-on-month in September, though they declined 1.9% since the start of the year. Producer prices for crop products decreased 1.3% and livestock products declined 1.8% in September 2024 compared to December 2023.There was an increase of 5.3% in producer prices for agricultural products in Belarus last month compared to December 2023, according to the report. Meantime, prices dropped 33.4% in Armenia, and they declined 5.2% in Kyrgyzstan, 2.1% in Russia, and 0.6% in Kazakhstan.Farmers sold wheat for $264 per tonne in Armenia in September, for $147 per tonne in Belarus, for $173 per tonne in Kazakhstan, for $234 per tonne in Kyrgyzstan, and for $139 per tonne in Russia. The lowest prices for pork among producers were $1,245 per tonne in Belarus, and the highest prices were $2,682 per tonne in Kyrgyzstan. Russian farmers sold pork for $1,394 per tonne, Kazakh farmers for $1,703 per tonne, and Armenian farmers for $6,422 per tonne. Armenia presents data for products in slaughter weight, and Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, respectively, present data for products in live weight, the report specifies.Eggs cost $67 per 1,000 units in Belarus, the lowest selling price, and they cost $72 per 1,000 units in Kazakhstan, $81 per 1,000 units in Russia, and $158 per 1,000 units in Armenia.
