TURKISH/LOCAL JOINT VENTURE WINS TROJENA INFRASTRUCTURE
Saudi Arabia’s Neom has awarded an estimated $500m contract to the joint venture of Turkish contractor Kolin Construction and local firm Saudi Structures Contracting Company for an infrastructure development package at Trojena. The contract was awarded for package two of the roads and utilities scheme, the scope of which involves infrastructure development works for the fun, gateway and discover clusters in Trojena. This is the second major contract awarded to the joint venture by Neom for infrastructure works at Trojena. In September, Neom had awarded an estimated $1.1bn contract to Kolin Construction and Saudi Structures Contracting Company for another infrastructure development package at Trojena. The contract was awarded for package one of the roads and utilities scheme. Its scope involves infrastructure development works at the lake perimeter and relax cluster and wet and dry utilities. Firms are also bidding for package five, which includes procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and completion of the 33kV substations and medium-voltage network in Trojena. The other works include civil works, three switching stations, distribution stations, low-voltage cable networks, two control centres and other associated infrastructure works.
