Azerbaijan's SOCAR, Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas sign strategic agreement on decarbonizationKazakhstan's KazMunayGas (KMG) national company and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) have concluded a strategic agreement on decarbonization, KMG said in a press release.The goal of the document, which the parties signed on the sidelines of the 29th UN Framework Convention on Climate Change COP29 in Baku, is to facilitate interaction between the two leading oil and gas companies in order to implement decarbonization projects and introduce low-carbon technologies.SOCAR said that the companies are planning joint projects in the area of decarbonization."The delegations of the two companies discussed matters regarding an effective partnership and planned projects in the area of decarbonization and energy transition," SOCAR said.
