LITHUANIAN-OWNED AVIA SOLUTIONS GROUP ORDERS 80 NEW PLANES FROM BOEING
Avia Solutions Group (ASG), a Lithuanian aviation business led by entrepreneur Gediminas Žiemelis, has placed an order for 80 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The deal includes 40 confirmed orders and a right of first refusal for another 40, with delivery set for 2030. This marks the first time an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) company has made such a large direct order from a manufacturer. The purchase is part of ASG’s strategy to expand and address the increasing demand for air capacity during seasonal peaks. ASG, the world’s largest ACMI services group, currently operates a fleet of 220 aircraft and employs about 14,000 people across over 250 companies. (ICE VARSAVIA)
