Cargo transportation via TITR grew by 68% in 10M - Kazakh Transport MinistryThe volume of cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route,-TITR) in January-October 2024 increased by 68% YoY,  Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev said."Transportation along the Middle Corridor in January-October increased by 68% and reached 3.8 million tonnes," Lastayev said on Wednesday at a ministerial round table as part of the COP29 conference in Baku.According to him, the transportation of containers along the corridor during the same period increased threefold, reaching 46,300 units.The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route is an international transport corridor running through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia to Turkey and European countries. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is part of the corridor. According to the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, the volume of cargo transported along the TITR in 2023 was 2.76 million tonnes, which is 60% more than in 2022 (1.7 million tonnes).
