Russian Economic Development Ministry notes increase in tourist flows between Russia, KazakhstanTourism became a separate point of growth in relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, tourist flows between the two countries are growing in both directions, the press service for the Russian Economic Development Ministry said on Wednesday."Tourism is a separate point of growth in bilateral relations. Kazakhstan is in the top three most popular vacation destinations for Russians. Tourist flows grow in both directions. The tourist flow from Russia to Kazakhstan increased by 13% last year and from Kazakhstan to Russia grew nearly by third," the press service said.Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and Kazakh Sports and Tourism Minister Yerbol Myrzabosynov have signed an intergovernmental agreement on tourism during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Kazakhstan, it said."We are constantly working on enhancing tourism cooperation. On our part, we drafted a bill on preferential advantages for tour operators sending tourists to our border countries. For them, we're reducing financial guarantees ten times. In addition, we shared with the Kazakh side a catalog of 30 tourism investment projects for further cooperation," Reshetnikov said following the signing of the agreement.All these steps will enable the countries to create the necessary basis for the further development of joint tourism programs, promote vacations in Russia and Kazakhstan, and attract investments in tourism, he said.
