Indonesia will begin its first export of electric vehicle (EV) battery precursors  to the United States (US) this month. The precursor comes from a nickel processing plant in the Weda Bay Industrial Area, Halmahera Island, North Maluku. According to the Minister, precursors are one of the downstream nickel products that the government has implemented. The goal is to increase the added value of domestic mineral and coal exports. The government will continue to boost downstreaming to increase the added value of exports.With the steps that have been taken so far, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources is confident that Indonesia will become an increasingly attractive investment destination in the eyes of foreigners."And we have built approximately 70-80 percent of the progress.
