Kazakhstan publishes a list of top 9 banks by deposit volumes in Oct The total amount of individual and corporate deposits in Kazakhstan's second-tier banks stood at 50.01 trillion tenge as at October 30, 2024, which is an increase of 150.4 billion tenge from September of this year.Only nine banks saw an increase in deposits – by a total of 658.2 billion tenge, while the other 12 banks reported a decrease of 507.8 billion tenge in their deposits, including ForteBank, Jusan Bank and Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan with 57.4% of all outflowed deposits.The largest banks in terms of deposit growth in October 2024 were Bank CenterCredit, Bank RBK, Bank VTB JSC and Nurbank. The following banks left the top ten list: Citibank Kazakhstan, Bereke Bank, Subsidiary Bank Bank of China Kazakhstan, Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan and Jusan Bank.In October of this year, the following nine banks demonstrated a highest growth in deposits compared with the same month of the previous year: Kaspi Bank (an increase of 191.8 billion tenge to 6.7 trillion tenge in deposits), Halyk Bank (172.5 billion tenge and 14.4 trillion tenge, respectively), Bank CenterCredit (150.4 billion tenge and 5.7 trillion tenge), Bank RBK (79.3 billion tenge and 2.07 trillion tenge), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Almaty (22.2 billion tenge and 285.07 billion tenge), Freedom Bank Kazakhstan (14.2 billion tenge and 2.2 trillion tenge), Bank VTB JSC (14.07 billion tenge and 125.4 billion tenge), Home Credit Bank (7.5 billion tenge and 816.8 billion tenge), Nurbank (6.2 billion tenge and 448.1 billion tenge, respectively).The second-tier banks that saw a decrease in deposits in October 2024 included ForteBank (minus 106.8 billion tenge), Jusan Bank (minus 101.06 billion tenge), Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan (minus 83.85 billion tenge), Eurasian Bank (minus 60.36 billion tenge), Bereke Bank (minus 43.6 billion tenge), Otbasy Bank (minus 41.09 billion tenge), Altyn Bank (minus 20.9 billion tenge), Bank of China in Kazakhstan (minus 17.9 billion tenge), Citibank Kazakhstan (minus 17.6 billion tenge), ADCB (minus 10.8 billion tenge), Subsidiary Bank Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank (minus 3.4 billion tenge, and Zaman Bank (minus 464.4 million tenge).Official exchange rate on December 2 is 511.22 tenge per $1.
