SWEDISH INDUSTRY SEES POSITIVE SHIFT
Recent data from Swedbank/Silf indicate a brighter outlook for the Swedish industry, as reflected in the rising purchasing managers' index (PMI). Dagens industri reports that the PMI for November reached 53.8, up from 53.2 in October. Moreover, the index shows that activity levels in the sector have increased during the fourth quarter, reaching heights not seen in over two years. The production index contributed the largest positive impact to the PMI followed by new orders, while delivery times and employment fell, resulting in a negative contribution. Industrial companies' production plans for the next six months remain optimistic, as the index has recorded a level above 60 for the second consecutive month. (ICE STOCCOLMA)
