RISING FOOD PRICES: A 2.8% INCREASE AND CHRISTMAS COSTS SURGE

Dagens industri reports that food prices in Sweden have risen by 2.8% over the past year. According to Matpriskollen, the increase is particularly pronounced for traditional Christmas foods, which have seen a price increase of 6% year-on-year. In November, food prices increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month, following a 0.2% rise in both September and October. While dairy products continue to drive prices up, fruits, fresh vegetables, and chicken have become cheaper.
