Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that Indonesia is currently preparing to build a methanol factory worth US$ 1-1.2 billion or equivalent to IDR 19.08 trillion. According to Bahlil, this step was taken to reduce domestic methanol needs, which currently 80% still come from imports. If B50 increases, there will be 5.7 million tons of the 26 million tons (export capacity) that we have to take to convert into biodiesel," said Sudaryono in his presentation at a working meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Monday (02/12).
