The decision to start a bidding process for the dredging of Volos port was signed by Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Minister Christos Stylianides.The concession will include the study and restoration of operational depths at the port basin of the central Greek port, by removing the earth deposited after the storms in September 2023. Its budget is assessed at close to 9.6 million euros and it will be funded by shipping ministry funds and those of the natural catastrophes restoration program.The port serves both commercial and passenger shipping, particularly connecting Volos with the Sporades islands.  (ICE ATENE)
