THREE CAR COMPANIES COMMITTED TO BUILDING FACTORIES IN INDONESIA
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said that in 2024, three automotive companies are committed to building automotive factories in Indonesia, especially to produce electric vehicles (EVs)."The first is BYD, Citroen, and AION. The three companies, the three brands, will enjoy incentives of zero percent import duty stimulus and 15 percent PPnBM DTP," said Agus in the Economic Policy Package Press Conference: Accelerating Inclusive & Sustainable Economic Growth, held at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Building, Jakarta, Monday (16/1/2024).On January 1, 2025, the government also provided incentives in the form of a government-borne Luxury Goods Sales Tax (PPnBM) of 3 percent for hybrid cars. PPnBM DTP hybrid cars adds to the list of incentives provided by the Indonesian government to the automotive sector, especially electric vehicles. This is because the government also provides incentives in the form of a 10 percent DTP value added tax (PPN) for battery-based electric motor vehicles (KBLBB) completely knocked down (CKD), 15 percent DTP PPnBM for imported KBLBB completely built up (CBU) and CKD, and 0 percent import duty for KBLBB CBU.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/4531060/menperin-3-perusahaan-mobil-berkomitmen-bangun-pabrik-di-indonesia (ICE GIACARTA)
