Kazakhstan’s oil production down 2% in January-November 2024Kazakhstan’s oil production fell by 2% year-on-year to 80.5 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2024, Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev announced on Tuesday.“During this period, oil and condensate production reached 80.5 million tonnes, or 98% of last year’s figure for the same period, which was 82.2 million tonnes,” Satkaliyev said at a government meeting in Astana.He added that the drop in production has also affected oil exports.“Exports during the reporting period totaled 63.2 million tonnes, or 98.3% of the volume recorded over the same period last year, which stood at 64.3 million tonnes,” Satkaliyev explained.The minister earlier noted that total oil production for 2024 is expected to reach 87.8 million tonnes.
