Kazakhstan’s construction output grew 10.3% in Jan-NovConstruction output in Kazakhstan totaled 6.853 trillion tenge in January-November 2024, or an increase of 10.3% year-over-year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the reporting period, construction and installation works rose by 8.3% to 5.689 trillion tenge in value compared to the same period of the previous year, major repairs grew by 23.5% and scheduled maintenance went up by 18.7%.As many as 36,455 new buildings were put into operation in January- November 2024, including  34,289 residential buildings and 2,166 non-residential buildings.In the 11 months as much as 2,904.4 billion tenge was allocated for housing construction. Housing construction expenses accounted for 18.4% of all fixed capital investment. In the financing structure, the own funds of the developers made up 87.6% of all investment in this sector.In January-November 2024, Kazakhstan put into service 16.317 million square metres of new residential floor space or an increase of 8.3 % compared with the same period of the previous year.In the reporting period, average construction costs per square meter increased by 4.1% year-over-year.The population of Kazakhstan tops 20 million people.
