EAEU approves unified procedure for registration of customs declarations - EECThe Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved a new procedure for registration or refusal of registration of customs declarations, the press service of the EEC reported on Wednesday."The new rules provide for uniform approaches to the registration of three types of customs declarations, take into account the priority of electronic declarations, as well as the possibility of registering or refusing to register customs declarations without the participation of a customs official," Ruslan Davydov, the EEC's minister for customs cooperation, is quoted as saying by the press service.It is also reported that the Board of the EEC approved the form of the declaration for goods in e-commerce and the procedure for filling it out in connection with changes to the Customs Code of the EAEU in the field of foreign e-commerce.As Davydov noted, this ensures "a modern approach to the declaration of goods in e-commerce, taking into account advanced international standards, providing for the submission of information and its processing in electronic form, taking into account the specifics of this segment of trade".The declaration of goods in e-commerce will be applied from the moment the amendments to the EAEU Customs Code come into force, both for goods purchased by individuals directly on electronic trading platforms, and for goods sold from warehouses in the EAEU countries to individuals.
