Kazakh parliament ratifies agreements on free trade between EAEU and SingaporeThe Senate, the upper chamber of Kazakhstan’s parliament, adopted on Thursday the Law on the Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement Between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its Member States, on the One Hand, and the Republic of Singapore, on the Other Hand, an Interfax-Kazakhstan correspondent said.The Senate also adopted the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, on the One Hand, and the Republic of Singapore, on the Other Hand."The Agreement is aimed to create a legal framework to support the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU states and Singapore. The law will ease trades between the countries and will help create conditions for attracting investment and deepening integration," said Alibek Nautiyev, a member of the Senate’s Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship.The customs duties on the import of goods will be gradually abolished in mutual trade, he added.The Agreement was signed on October 1, 2019 in Yerevan.The document is now sent to the president of Kazakhstan for signature.
