HKTDC TO HOLD 40 INTERNATIONAL FAIRS IN 2025

HKTDC to hold 40 international fairs in 2025 The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host about 40 international exhibitions and conferences this year to attract high-end overnight visitors. The international fairs will cover sectors such as jewelry, fashion, homeware, lighting, medical supplies, and electronics, contributing to a total of more than 100 events anticipated in 2025 alongside industry-organized exhibitions, said Deputy Executive Director of HKTDC Sophia Chong Suk-fan on Thursday. Chong emphasized that a Hong Kong Tourism Board survey showed most exhibition participants are high-end overnight travelers, with an average spending of nearly HK$9,000, benefiting local retail, dining, and hotel sectors. She added that HKTDC will host three fairs over four days starting next Monday (Jan 6), including the Toys & Games Fair, Baby Products Fair, and International Stationery & School Supplies Fair. She said the fairs attracted 2,500 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, along with over 200 buyer groups. Chong highlighted that the Toys & Games Fair will feature an ESG exhibition and sustainable toy selections, along with a 40 percent increase in the area for electronic and remote-controlled toys. HKTDC will also utilize artificial intelligence to facilitate online matching for exhibitors and buyers one week before the exhibitions. During the events, buyers can scan QR codes to record exhibitor information and connect with them online later. https://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaking-news/section/4/224377/HKTDC-to-hold-40-international-fairs-in-2025 (ICE HONG KONG)
