Ukraine's Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko and World Bank Regional Director Bob Saum signed a $15 billion grant agreement under the PEACE in Ukraine project. This funding, sourced from the US through the F.O.R.T.I.S. Ukraine Fund, is part of the G7's $50 billion commitment using proceeds from immobilized Russian sovereign assets. The funds will support salaries for healthcare, education, and emergency workers, as well as social programs for low-income families, internally displaced persons, and persons with disabilities. From 2022 to 2024, US budget support for Ukraine has exceeded $30 billion, ensuring public services, state continuity, and financial stability during the war. This new grant will further strengthen Ukraine's capacity to address key social and humanitarian needs in 2025.https://mof.gov.ua/en/news/the_ministry_of_finance_and_the_world_bank_have_signed_a_15_billion_grant_agreement_funded_by_the_us_these_funds_are_secured_by_future_revenues_from_frozen_russian_assets_under_the_era_mechanism-4969 (ICE LEOPOLI)
