The UAE looks ahead to even greater achievements in  2025 , remaining committed to progress and innovation.In 2024, the UAE reached major milestones, making it a landmark year in its history:Foreign trade  exceeded $762.3 billion , and foreign direct investment surpassed $35 billion .    80% of the country's laws  were updated, contributing to the establishment of 200,000 new companies . Airports  welcomed 150 million passengers , and the hospitality sector hosted over 30 million guests .    25,000 small businesses  were launched by Emirati youth, and Emirati private sector participation grew by 350% .   Over 750 national projects focused on economic , sustainability , and educational advancements.      Innovation strides, like joining the Lunar Gateway space project and establishing the first permanent polar research base for an Arab nation.    131,000 Emiratis  entered the private sector, and family stability was bolstered by housing programs.  The UAE signed 140 international agreements , strengthening its global presence 1.2 million students  attended 1,325 institutions . Sustainability efforts  included new laws to combat climate change.
