APPLE TO BUILD AIRTAG FACTORY IN INDONESIA

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, announced on Tuesday that Apple plans to establish an AirTag vendor factory in Batam, Riau Islands, with a US$1 billion investment. According to Roeslani, this factory will represent the initial phase of the U.S. technology giant's investment in Indonesia. Apple also plans to invite other vendors to the country, signifying a potential for further investment growth. Furthermore, Roeslani confirmed that the factory's location has been determined and is scheduled for completion early next year. Apple's investment commitment is expected to create employment opportunities for up to two thousand individuals. The negotiations between Vice president of global policy at Apple, Nick Amman and the Minister aimed to extend the domestic component level (TKDN) certification for Apple products, enabling the company to officially sell its latest offering, the iPhone 16, in the Indonesian market.Source:https://en.antaranews.com/news/340566/apple-to-build-airtag-factory-in-indonesia-govt?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=latest_category  (ICE GIACARTA)
