Kazakhstan to join BRICS as a partner from January 1 - Foreign MinistryKazakhstan will attain BRICS partner status on January 1, confirmed Aibek Smadiyarov, spokesperson for Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement to Interfax-Kazakhstan."We confirm this information," Smadiyarov stated when asked about Kazakhstan's inclusion.Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Alexey Borodavkin earlier revealed that 13 nations, including Kazakhstan, have been invited to join the BRICS alliance as partner states.BRICS, an international bloc of emerging economies, currently comprises 10 member countries: Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa, India, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia.
