PRIME MINISTER: JORDAN-US FTA INCREASED OUR EXPORTS TO $2.8 BILLION
The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham) hosted its annual ceremony on Sunday evening, with Prime Minister Jafar Hassan in attendance, alongside top officials, ministers, dignitaries, and the US Ambassador to Jordan. This event coincided with the Chamber's celebration of its 25th anniversary. The ceremony provided a platform to highlight the achievements of the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan over the past quarter-century and underscored its pivotal role in promoting sustainable economic development within the country. The PM emphasized that the bilateral free trade agreement has been a crucial mechanism for fostering trade and collaboration between the two nations. This agreement has facilitated a substantial growth in Jordanian exports to the United States, rising from $63 million to $2.8 billion in under three decades, solidifying the United States as one of Jordan's principal trading partners.
