ANTONIO VIVALDI MOVIE ‘PRIMAVERA’ DIRECTED BY DAMIANO MICHIELETTO PRE-SELLS TO M
"Primavera," a film about Antonio Vivaldi, the Italian Baroque composer known for "The Four Seasons," has been acquired by major distributors across several territories. Directed by renowned opera director Damiano Michieletto in his feature debut, the movie was shot in Rome and Venice and will be released in Italy by Warner Bros. and in France by Diaphana Distribution. Represented by Memento International, it has secured pre-sales in Benelux, Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Poland, with additional territories in negotiation. Written by Ludovica Rampoldi, the script is inspired by Tiziano Scarpa’s novel Stabat Mater.Set in 18th-century Venice, the film follows Cecilia, a 20-year-old violin virtuoso at the Pièta orphanage, whose life changes when Antonio Vivaldi becomes her violin teacher. Guided by his brilliance, Cecilia finds the courage to challenge societal norms and pursue her own destiny. Starring Tecla Insolia as Cecilia and Michele Riondino as Vivaldi, the film boasts a stellar crew, including cinematographer Daria D’Antonio (The Hand of God), editor Walter Fasano (Call Me by Your Name), and composer Fabio Massimo Capogrosso (Kidnapped).
