ITALY’S DEPOSED PRINCE TO LAUNCH VIDEO GAME WITH EUROPE’S OUSTED ROYALS

Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, Italy's deposed prince and the grandson of the country's last king, has partnered with seven other royal families to create a video game called The RoyaLand. The game, developed alongside heirs from royal families in Albania, Bulgaria, France, Russia's Romanovs, and others, aims to share their heritage with a new generation. With artificial intelligence backing, players can interact with lifelike avatars of these royals and battle rivals to grow their virtual kingdoms, striving to become the king or queen of RoyaLand. Set to be released next year, the game offers a blend of history and entertainment, appealing to younger generations who are familiar with gaming and social media. The game was developed with Milan-based Neosperience and is described by Prince Emanuele Filiberto as a unique way to blend royalty with gaming. Princess Victoria, from Russia’s Romanov family, called it a "cutting-edge" approach, aiming to teach history in a fun, interactive way. Despite the project’s appeal, the prince has yet to approach the British royal family, though he has discussed it with Prince Albert of Monaco. (ICE TORONTO)
