KUWAIT’S Q8 WINS 2 BIDS TO OPERATE MAJOR GAS STATIONS IN EUROPE
Shafi Al-Ajmi, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8), announced on Saturday that the company has successfully won two bids to operate two major gas stations in Europe. Al-Ajmi explained that the first bid pertains to the operation of a gas station located on a major highway in Luxembourg, while the second bid is for a gas station in the same region. He highlighted that this achievement represents a significant step toward achieving Q8’s strategic goals in Europe, as it will enhance the company's marketing presence in the European market. Al-Ajmi further emphasized that this success will strengthen the position of the Kuwaiti oil sector in global markets, particularly in the retail fuel station industry. The operation of both stations is set to begin on May 1, with a four-year concession period. Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8), established in 1983, serves as the global refining and marketing arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). The company operates an extensive network of over 4,700 retail gas and service stations, including more than 2,800 in Italy. (ICE KUWAIT)
