Kazakhstan not yet planning to cut oil output in 2025, final decision to be reached following OPEC+ meeting - Energy MinisterKazakhstan will not adjust its oil production forecast for 2025 for now, waiting for the next OPEC+ meeting, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said."There are no trends yet to increase or decrease production volumes, we are planning to produce 96.2 million, which is what the government has set for us," Satkaliyev said at a briefing in Astana on Wednesday.According to him, the next OPEC+ meeting will be held in the near future, where "an agreed position will be adopted".Until this meeting, Kazakhstan will not make any decisions on adjustments to production forecasts, the minister added. He stressed that Kazakhstan has voluntarily "done everything possible to fulfil its obligations to limit production volumes", but for the current year the government has set itself the task of producing at least 96 million tonnes of oil.Earlier, the Ministry of Energy stated that the forecast of oil production in Kazakhstan at 96.2 million tonnes for 2025 was made without taking into account the fulfilment of obligations to OPEC+.Kazakhstan previously extended oil production restrictions by 2.2 million bpd for the entire Q1 of 2025 as part of the OPEC+ deal. The Ministry of Energy stated that Kazakhstan plans to maintain oil production volumes within its OPEC+ allocated quota for 2025. (ICE ALMATY)
